New South Wales (NSW) is a melting pot of vibrant urban areas and wonderful natural landscapes ranging from the awe inspiring Blue Mountains range to the glistening Sydney Harbour. Sydney is the state’s capital city and has globally recognised sites such as The Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the home of the world known New Year’s fireworks display. Surrounding regions of Sydney such as the Hunter Valley and Orange are known for exceptional food and wine production. The NSW coast line is lined with a number of beach front towns with pristine beaches and natural marine parks. Rural New South Wales has many rural centres including The Southern Highlands, Tamworth and Albury which have fertile farmland and strong agricultural businesses. The NSW economy is both strong and resilient driven by innovation. NSW is a dynamic and diverse state that has many aspirational reasons to make it home. Ageing in NSW is strongly supported with numerous residential aged care homes with many of the large operators making Sydney their corporate headquarters. There are an abundance of Home Care Providers delivering care into city centres state wide. A number of age sensitive community infrastructure supports ageing Australians to stay at home for as long as they wish. There are a large number of nursing homes in NSW. Large residential aged care providers with a strong presence in the NSW are BaptistCare, Goodwin Aged Care Services, Calvary Care, RSL LifeCare, Fresh Hope Care and Uniting.
