Aged Care - QLD

QLD

Queensland (QLD) is Australia’s sunshine state. It has a diverse demographic with a thriving economy. QLD is known for its natural beauty with the instantly recognizable Great Barrier Reef, the world’s largest coral system. Equally recognised is the Daintree Rainforest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is no surprise that tourism is a strong component of the state’s economy. Other supporting sectors include the export of minerals. Agriculture is another strong economic contributor. The state’s capital city, Brisbane offers a cosmopolitan, coastal lifestyle with the Gold Coast and Cairns also being popular locations for retirees. Queensland’s warm and humid climate coupled with relatively affordable accommodation makes it a popular location for retirees moving from neighbouring states such as Victoria and NSW. There are plenty of residential aged care homes in the main city centres including the Gold Coast, Townsville, Cairnes, Ipswich, Toowoomba, with Brisbane delivering the widest aged care offerings. Large residential aged care providers with a strong presence in QLD are Southern Cross Care, Calvary Care, St Vincents Care Services, Tricare, Bolton Clarke and Opal. A list of aged care providers in QLD can be accessed in the search of this site.
