Aged Care - TAS

TAS

Tasmania (TAS) is Australia’s southern most state and the only state off the mainland of Australia. Hobart is both the state’s capital city and largest city, with Launceston being the second largest. It has many cultural attractions from gourmet foods and fresh produce, to historic sites of both an indigenous heritage and western heritage. There are many buildings and sites where the life of Tasmanian convicts from the late 1800s is evident. There are several beautiful examples of historic architecture. The cool climate makes Tasmania and Hobart a popular choice for retiring Australians looking for a cooler location with lower humidity. With the state of Tasmania being relatively small, home care options for Australians choosing to age at home are more deliverable. The majority of the state’s residential aged care options are located in either Hobart or Launceston. A list of aged care facilities in Tasmania can be access in the search of this site. Large residential aged care providers with a strong presence in Tasmania are Calvary Care and The Salvation Army
