The Grange Waitara

The Grange Village, Waitara is a Strata Title "lifestyle resort community" for people aged 55 and older. 

Its administration is regulated by the Strata Schemes Management Act 1996. The village was originally developed by Lend Lease but their involvement ceased in 1998 when ownership was transferred to the residents. 

Day to day management is carried out by the village manager and the office staff.  The manager and staff are responsible to, and employed by, Australian Retirement Partners who are contracted to manage The Grange for the owners.The Grange, a delightful "lifestyle resort community" located in Sydney's sought-after leafy North Shore.

LOCATION

The Grange is ideally located with transport, shops, sporting and medical facilities in close proximity.

TRANSPORT

Waitara railway station is just 200 metres from the village with train services every 15 minutes to Hornsby and the city. There is a public bus service at the entrance to the village and The Grange also operates a weekly bus service for residents to Hornsby.

SHOPPING

You’ll find shopping a delight. As well as the convenience, charm and splendid array of specialty shops at the Wahroonga Village shopping village, Hornsby Westfield is just 2 km away. A weekly bus service is offered to Hornsby for a nominal fee.

CLUBS

For the sports minded, Asquith, Killara and Gordon Golf Clubs, and Asquith and Hornsby Bowling and Recreation Clubs are all close by. In addition Hornsby RSL Club is a two minutes drive from the village.

MEDICAL

The Grange is well placed in terms of access to medical services located just moments from Hornsby Hospital, the Sydney Adventist Hospital at Wahroonga and numerous associated medical centres.

It should be noted that The Grange is not a "retirement village" as defined by the Retirement Villages Act 1999.  However, most Grange residents are retired.
