Site Features and Amenities
The site has landscaped gardens, a gazebo area for BBQs and family functions, water features and outdoor seating for family and friends. Our beautiful courtyards are visible from walkways and rooms above, providing a stimulating outlook. Several garden areas have raised beds for resident use through our gardening program.
Residents of the memory support unit also enjoy secure courtyard gardens and entertaining areas.
An internet café is available for residents to utilise, with assistance from volunteers, to 'Skype' and email to enable residents to maintain relationships with families and friends; particularly with those who live interstate or overseas. Our on-site hairdressing salon is conveniently located on the ground floor.
Meals are cooked on-site daily by a chef. A continental breakfast is provided Monday - Saturday with a cooked breakfast offered on Sundays. There is a choice of two courses for lunch and three courses for evening meal.
Lifestyle
In addition to our comprehensive clinical care program, our lifestyle activities are culturally sensitive and offer a wide variety of group and individual activities. Our Pets As Therapy program, in particular, is very popular with residents. We have a home theatre area where movies and documentaries are shown.
We have strong community ties with our large volunteer base and strong links with the Seaford Ecumenical Mission and local public and private schools. A variety of fundraising events such as our fete provides valuable funds to support our lifestyle program.
Family and friends are encouraged to play an active role in the social life of the facility and we promote regular communication with them via relatives meetings, newsletters, email and text messages.
