About
Margaret Hubery House
Nestled in the peaceful, riverside neighbourhood of Rossmoyne, Margaret Hubery House provides accommodation and support to 65 residents in a quality contemporary setting.
Our beautiful home is located only 500 metres from the Canning River and is conveniently situated 800 metres from Rossmoyne Village which contains an IGA supermarket, chemist, post office, banking facilities and café. Visitors have the convenience of onsite parking and a local bus stop just meters from the front entrance.
Our facility has 60 bedrooms. Each bedroom has a private ensuite bathroom and each bedroom is individually air conditioned. The rooms have been designed to create a warm and home-like environment and include bedside tables, built in wardrobes and shelves. Residents are encouraged to bring their own personal effects such as paintings, photos and pictures. They may also bring their own furniture where space permits.
We have specially designed rooms for dining, activities, socialising and family visits. Residents can enjoy delicious meals from a chef designed menu and with advanced notice are encouraged to invite family members to dine with them.
There is a beautiful chapel at Margaret Hubery House in which Catholic mass is held every day except Saturday. There is daily pastoral care onsite and volunteer pastoral care each week. There is an increasingly diverse religious community at the residential home. As such we try to tailor our events to the different religious such as the Feast of Mary of the Cross.
We host a variety of activities across the week such as regular card games, bingo sessions, exercise groups and happy hour. These are interspersed with the occasional movie afternoon, resident outings & monthly birthday celebrations.
Residents are invited and encouraged to participate in the lifestyle programs that suit their interests and own needs.
As a not-for-profit, Southern Cross Care (WA) Inc. is committed to providing residential care to ensure West Australians have access to the services they need. Services can be charged by payment of a Maximum Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD), a Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) or combination of both RAD and DAP. We welcome supported residents, please contact us for more information.
