Frank Prendergast House
Frank Prendergast House, situated in Success, is proud to have been caring for the local community since 2002. Our commitment is to enhance the lives of our residents, through exceptional 24/7 care, choice in experience and an atmosphere that exudes warmth and compassion
Frank Prendergast House has been designed with five residential care homes accommodating 73 residents in generous sized quality fitted private rooms with en-suite bathrooms, reverse-cycle air conditioning, and personal TVs. Each home has a full size kitchen with an adjoining lounge & dining area, and offers an array of social and lifestyle activities for residents to appreciate. Residents can enjoy delicious meals from a Chef designed menu & are encouraged to invite family members to dine with them.
Supporting the emotional wellbeing and happiness of our residents is our driving purpose. Frank Prendergast House is a vibrant place to live, with a range of daily engaging and varied social activities, designed by our Occupational Therapy team. Residents can enjoy weekly bus trips to places of interest, exercise groups tailored to individual capabilities, live concerts, craft groups, bingo, armchair travel and much more.
The on-site chapel provides a place for quiet reflection. Our leafy outdoor space includes a garden area where residents can participate in gardening activities, and a covered patio with a BBQ area that can be enjoyed all year round.
Residents receive professional clinical care from our team of Enrolled Nurses and Registered Nurses and access to other skilled health professionals such as General Practitioners, Podiatrists, Dietitians and Physiotherapists. In residential care, nursing services are available 24/7 and other allied health care services, during the day or as the residents' health requires.
Frank Prendergast offers a specialist high dependency unit for complex behavioural conditions and mental health needs. The home is dementia friendly & our onsite dementia consultants are also Registered Nurses. Short term respite accommodation, from one day to a number of weeks, is also offered, providing peace of mind for carers. It can also be an important step in the smooth transition of the care recipient into permanent residential care.
As a not-for-profit, Southern Cross Care (WA) Inc. is committed to providing residential care to ensure West Australians have access to the services they need. Services can be charged by payment of a Maximum Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD), a Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) or combination of both RAD and DAP.
