Step 3.3

How do I get assessment results?

Assessment Results

The ACAT will let you know the outcome of your ACAT assessment in writing.  A letter is also sent to the provider.  This will include the level of Home Care Package you are eligible for.  Make copies of these and keep these documents to show you are eligible for government-subsidized aged care services.  

You will also receive:

  • Information about service providers in your area
  • A letter with current services approved

Plus:

  • Information about the Aged Care Complaints Scheme

You won't need another assessment unless your needs change significantly.
